Biomass to DME

Large-scale, sustainable production of advanced biofuels from biomass as an alternative to traditional fuels is one of the recommended actions to reduce emissions from transport sector.

FLEDGED process

The FLEDGED project combines a flexible Sorption Enhanced Gasification (SEG) process and a novel Sorption Enhanced DME Synthesis (SEDMES) process to produce DME from biomass with an efficient and low cost process.

FLEDGED partners are leading institutes from 7 countries and cover all the key units of the biofuels production chain.
