Objectives
In this WP, sorption enhanced gasification (SEG) and sorption enhanced DME synthesis (SEDMES) processes will be validated in industrially relevant environment (TRL 5). These experiments will be performed in USTUTT and ECN part of TNO facilities respectively. The comprehensive validation tests for the FLEDGED project mean:
- To test the SEG process with at least 2 different biomass qualities under various relevant conditions
- To validate and optimize the SEG process to produce a syngas for downstream DME synthesis
- To validate SEG process flexibility in producing syngas tailored for DME production when additional renewable hydrogen is available
- To test SEDMES process using a gas mixture with the same composition as that from the SEG process
- To perform full cycle experiments of SEDMES process
