At ECN, Raghu Sumbharaju and Jasper van Kampen are extending the sorbent testing programme to include dedicated desorption experiments.
Screening tests of different commercial steam sorbents are carried out at ECN to identifiy the most suitable sorbents for operation at SEDMES process. Different sorbent/catalyst mixures with commercial catalyst are subjected to cycling testing in a high throughput “Spider” rig, aiming at assessign steam capacity, steam slip level, adsorption and desorption kinetics selectivity and stability.
Selected mixtures will be then tested in single- and multiple-column PSA test-rig.
