ECN and Politecnico di Milano presented activities related with FLEDGED project at 25th International Conference on Chemical Reaction Engineering – ISCRE 25 (May 20-23, 2018, Firenze, Italy). Main topics are preliminary results of experimental campaign on regeneration strategies for the sorbent used in sorption enhanced DME synthesis step and reactors modelling activities for thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of performances and heat management. Jasper van Kampen from ECN presented a work on the feasibility of the sorption-enhanced DME synthesis (SEDMES) process related with efficient regeneration of the system: the pressure swing approach is combined with temperature swing regeneraton to enhance the global performances.
